Interaction design to change the way we shop tights and pants
The project included research on how women shop for tights instore and online. The team redesigned the experience for the instore and online through informed decisions based on interviews and shop alongs.
My role focused mainly on the redesign for the online desktop and mobile user experience. The concepts we came up with had to align throughout the physical instore experience and the online messaging.
The team included researchers, UX designers, visual designers and writers.
SHOP ALONGS FINDINGS
After conducting shop alongs and user interviews the team learned that shopping for tights was highly related to touch and feel. Women like to have a sense of what the material might feel like on their skin.
KEY MOMENTS FOR ONLINE EXPERIENCE
To every key moment we came up with ideas to reflect them in a simple interaction during the online shopping experience.

Compare Tool
This started off as a typical compare tool where the user selects the products of interest to then have them presented next to each other for certain attributes.
Since the technical limitations of the platform didn't allow for such a tool, we came up with an alternative solution. Here two identical panels that are horizontally scrollable are being compared with each other on five attributes.
This turns the compare tool upside down in its original interaction, but the user might have a quicker and more fun way of getting to know the tights and pants available.
Tight Finder
The Finder tool is an invitation to find tights and pants based on usage rather than features. It will help to make a selection by going through a few quick steps. It includes a nice onboarding to the topic matter and even if you are looking for a new pants and had no specific one in mind, it's a fun way of going through some possibilities.
It is a beautiful way of sorting all pants and representing them in a more targeted and emotional way.
